MenB Vaccinations are available for new students aged under 25 years old, born on or after 21st July 2002 and are starting university or moving into residential further education for the first time in autumn 2006.
MenB vaccinations are only available to be given by Pharmacies and are not available at the University Medical Centre or any other GP surgery. This vaccination programme is a time-limited, one off Meningococcal vaccination that is being given this year and it is being delivered by Pharmacies and not GP surgeries
Pharmacists from Day Lewis Pharmacy will be up on the University of Bath campus on certain dates across the next two weeks offering new students MenB vaccinations.
MenB vaccination clinics are being held at POLDEN, University of Bath, Quarry Road, BA2 7AY on the following dates:
Thursday 24th September 10:00-16:00
Friday 25th September 10:00 – 15:00
Monday 28th September 10:00 – 16:00
Tuesday 29th September 10:00 – 16:00
Wednesday 30th September 10:00-16:00
Eligible students will need two doses of the MenB vaccine for the best protection and will have been encouraged to get both doses before starting university.
The first dose will be available until 31st December 2026. The second dose will be available until 31st March 2027.
Vaccinations are to be given at least 4 weeks (28 days) apart.
